“Two-Minute Tuesdays” are a series of micro-stories written in five minutes or less. Consider them “public practice,” like that guy who shoots free throws in the park. Prompts are supplied at the bottom in case you want to try your own hand at one of them.
I looked at the stack of boxes in the corner. They were stained with soot and soaked with water from the long canvas hoses, but at least they were still recognizable. The same couldn’t be said for the rest of the house. Picture albums. Old schoolwork. All of our old tax returns. All gone.
“Look at that,” said Sally. “Of all the shit, that’s what makes it.”
